Who We Are

Our Mission

The mission of GVCHSA is to glorify God through the training and nurturing of athletes in their spiritual, academic, physical, emotional, and social development. God's character imparts wisdom, knowledge, and love, helping our athletes develop a worldview that will impact the world for Christ.

Our Vision

To develop passionate followers of Christ who discern and apply God's word in their lives daily as they lead and serve.

Our Faith

We are a broadly evangelical Christian organization that believes in the gospel, salvation by faith alone, the inspiration and infallability of Scripture, and the second coming of Christ. All board members and coaches gladly embrace our Statement of Faith.

Our Statement of Faith is identical to the National Association of Evangelicals Statement, which is a broad statement of faith meant to capture the essence of evangelical Christianity.

Our Athletic Director

Deirdre VandenBroeck is entering her second year as our Athletic Director. Deirdre oversees our coaches, scheduling, and the logistics of the entire program. She is always working behind the scenes to ensure everyone has what they need to succeed. She desires to see every team compete with a Christ-centered focus. Her desire is for all the coaches and athletes to enjoy their time on a Cougar team while growing in their relationship with Christ. She loves her job and being part of the “Cougar Family.” Her own children compete on Cougar teams. If you need to get in contact, fill out the form at the bottom of this page and she will get back to you.
